Monopiles

GeoLine has considerable engineering expertise in designing monopiles for offshore wind turbines, including installation analysis, bid and construction support and standby during installation in case the monopiles should not reach required penetration (i.e. verify the lateral capacity).

GeoLines capabilities include:

• Bid and construction support
• Review of geotechnical and geophysical data. Site review and selection,
selection of soil profiles and design parameters.
• Axial pile capacity and axial pile response
• Lateral pile response
• Soil resistance to driving including wave equation analysis using
GRLWEAP (blowcount v depth)
• Scour Assessment

Experience: Technical engineering support was provided to Hydro Soil Services, including geotechnical and geophysical data review, installation analysis of the monopiles (SRD and wave equation analysis) and standby.
