Predictive Upheaval Buckling Analysis - September 2002

GeoLine has been awarded a contract by Technip-Coflexip Aberdeen to carry out predictive upheaval buckling analysis, 6” gas pipeline, Dutch sector of the southern North Sea. Tender support.

The upheval buckling analyses were done using the Download Monitoring System (DMS). DMS is a finite element method for rapid assessing the amount of backfill or rock dump required for a given load case.

Upheaval Buckling Analysis - 26" Gas Pipeline - February 2003

GeoLine has been awarded a contract by Mærsk Oil and Gas AS to carry out upheaval buckling analyses to determine minimum required trenched backfill for imperfection profiles with heights between 0.1m and 0.5m in steps of 0.1m

The pipeline to be analysed is a a 26” gas pipeline between Tyra WE platform in the Danish sector of the North Sea to NOGAT F3 platform located in the Dutch sector of the North Sea.

In total 40 imperfection profiles were analysed assuming natural and actual half impefection wavelengths.

GeoLine has been awarded a contract by Hydro Soil Services NV to carry
out a desk study "Driving Monopiles into Weak Rock".

On-bottom roughness analysis - 18" Gas Pipeline - January 2003

GeoLine
has been awarded a contract by Genesis Oil and Gas Consultant Ltd to carry out a full on-bottom roughness analyses and span analysis for a 18” gas pipeline. Seven Heads Project.

The on-bottom roughness analysis was carried out using advanced finite element software taking into account environmental loadings from current and waves and soil-pipeline interaction from varying seabed soils. Three load cases are analysed i.e. empty, waterfilled and operational. A "true"
loading sequence is used model the in-situ behaviour of the pipeline.

Pile Capacity Back Analysis - September 2002

GeoLine has been awarded a contract by Technip-Coflexip Aberdeen to carry out a pile capacity back analysis - Guillemont West Field, North Sea.

The work included:

Pile Driveability Assessment Check - June 2002

GeoLine has been awarded a contract by Mærsk Oil Qatar AS to carry out pile driveability assessment check for 8 jacket platforms located in the MOQ
Al-Shaheen field offshore Qatar. The Jackets are installed by HHI in South
Korea.

The work includes review of the geotechnical data (borehole logs, CPT profiles and laboratory soil test data) for the driveability design soil profile, soil resistance during driving (SRD) analyses and wave equation analyses.
